Calling all future STEM leaders! Snapology of Harrisonburg offers LEGO and Robotics themed summer camps for hands-on builders ages 4-14. Snapology’s curriculum is designed to build on the math, science and technology knowledge students have gained over the school year to keep them interested and engaged in STEM subjects year-round. Valley Roots Garden Center
There is no better way to strengthen your child’s connection to plants and the natural world than through a hands-on gardening camp! Little Roots Gardening camp at Valley Roots Garden Center is the perfect place for your budding gardener to explore their green thumb, get their hands dirty, and share moments of discovery and growth with new friends. This year, Valley Roots is partnering with Snapology of Harrisonburg to offer a full day of hands-on STEM fun for children ages 4-6 and 7-11. Horizon’s Edge Sports Campus
Summer is the perfect time to burn off some energy and build athletic skills at Horizon’s Edge Sports Campus’ Multi-sport Day Camps. These adrenaline-filled youth camps teach children ages 6-12 the fundamentals of baseball, basketball, pickleball, volleyball, soccer, and more. Campers will get a chance to learn about and play a variety of sports along with traditional summer camp games and activities. Frontier Culture Museum
If your child is a hands-on history buff, look no further than the Frontier Culture Museum this summer. The Frontier Culture Museum offers week-long day camps for children ages 5-8 and 9-12 from June 3 through July 29. Summertime on the Frontier is an exciting blast of the past. Campers will look forward to getting their hands dirty and building an appreciation for the past through feeding livestock, fishing, singing and dancing, playing historic games, making crafts, taking lessons in the schoolhouse, building structures, and more! River Mountain Farm and Life Center is your family’s one-stop-shop for character and skill building summer fun. Janine of River Mountain Farm describes the farm’s mission as a place to reconnect with nature and find joy and fulfillment in the simple things in life. Summer camp themes include Pony and Farm camps (ages 4-13), Dance and Gymnastics Camps (ages 4-11), and Art Camp (ages 4-11).
