Maybe you’ve seen our electronic billboard off of I-15 in Lehi or we popped up on your Google search for things to do. Maybe you heard about us from a friend or even better, you attended one of our camps, classes or Birthday parties!? Maybe you’ve never heard of us at all! Whatever the case, we’ll dive into what Snapology is and what kind of programs we offer to help you choose the best option for your child!
Snapology offers STEAM- based classes, camps, workshops, Birthdays, In-school Field Trips private events and more using LEGO bricks, technology and other learning mediums to engage children ages 3-14!
Our Lehi, Utah location is currently mobile base only, meaning we travel to schools and recreation centers and events to offer our programs! We provide programming from South Jordan/ Herriman to North Orem and everywhere in between! With so many programs to choose from, we get a lot of inquiries about the differences. Let’s dive into what type of programs we offer so you can find the best fit for your child!
Snapology Robotics
We have a robust selection of robotics for kids ages 4-14. Yes, you heard that right! Age 4! All programs are age appropriate and incorporate beginning programming in a fun and engaging environment. These programs include the use of a motor and a hub for the use of beginners programming. Students will program the models to hop, crawl, race,catapult and more! These programs allow additional programming from changing the hub lights, adding sounds, pictures and more! Our younger programs include Kinderbots or Robopets. Our more challenging programs for the older age group include Mega Machines, Jedi Robotics, Creature creator, Gamebots and so much more! This program is great for kids who would like to learn beginning programming using the drag and drop programming by LEGO Education and who can follow build directions. Each lesson, as always, focuses on a STEAM Principle and will sure fun a fun challenge for your kid!
Snapology Engineering
Snapology uses proprietary kits for their Engineering programming. Currently in Lehi, we offer Foundations of Engineering for ages 5-8 and Developing Engineers for ages 8-12 and Amusement Park Engineering. These kits use LEGO bricks and technic parts along with a motor and battery. No programming is included in this program. This is a great program for any and every child who loves to build and learn how things work! We build fun models such as spirographs, bey blades, go karts, merry-go-rounds and a whole lot more! This program is a great intro to Engineering and for students who enjoy following build instructions.
Snapology S.T.E.A.M. Core Programs
These programs fall into our Creative builds, meaning, there are Generally no specific modelsThey’ll build, however, they will be introduced to a subject accordingly. These programs include our wildly popular architecture program, Super structures,Scientist, Animation Studio and Combat Robots (there is a basic build that children will modify throughout the program). These programs are typically for our older students 7- 8 years old and older. This program is great for children who thrive on being creative and challenged. They’ll be able to understand the lesson and apply what they are learning. They could be participating in a skyscraper challenge, building a robot to pick rings and transport them, or creating their own animation from scratch. As always, our programs focus on teamwork and collaboration. Students who can work well with others will have a blast in these programs!
Snapology THEMED Programs
Last but not least, our creative S.T.E.A.M. themed programs are often offered as camps throughout the summer or on school breaks! These programs are just plain FUN while still incorporating STEAM concepts and focusing on the soft skills that our imperative in your child’s early development. These programs include our Minecraft inspired Mining and building program, Pokemania, Jedi Masters, Superheroes, Mini-Figure mania and a long list of fun and exciting programs! These programs are great for kids who enjoy being creative and prefer no specific build instruction or who just want to have fun with their peers!
Aside from these programs, Snapology offers Preschool Enrichment that will be offered in Utah in the very near future so follow us to stay updated!
