Five Awesome Summer Camps in Los Gatos

What time is it? SUMMER TIME! It will be here before you know it and with promises of life slowly getting back to normal, now is a great time to start planning for the upcoming months. Kids have been cooped in the house and needing something to engage them, summer camps are a true lifesaver. We know establishing new routines and adjusting to a new normal will be stressful. Lucky for you, we have put together a guide of some great summer camps in the Los Gatos area available for your children to help you start planning.

1. Snapology

Snapology’s curriculum is designed to build on the math, science and technology knowledge students have gained over the school year to keep them interested and engaged in STEAM year-round. But shh€¦don’t tell them it’s educational! The best part about Snapology is that their programs are so packed with fun, children will be excited to return to school next year to use what they’ve learned. Exciting summer camp themes include Adventures with Star Wars®, Gamebots, Junior Creators, Amusement Park Engineering and much more! Snapology also focuses on developing real-world interpersonal skills through sharing ideas, communicating and working together. 2. The Marvegos Fine Art School

At the Marvegos Fine Art School, kids can express their creativity! Full week and single day camp options are available to fit best into every family’s schedules. Full week camps are even offered in 1 hour, 1.5 hour, 2 hour and 3 hour options. Classes are focused on the kid having fun and expressing themselves. Campers will get to work with drawing, painting, sculpting with wood and clay, or mixed media. Each week has different projects to keep campers engaged.

3. Valley Sports Camp

Want a camp to keep your child active? Valley Sports Camps are a great option! The multisport camps include activities such as capture the flag, Star Wars games, basketball, flag football, hockey, soccer, and more! Kids are grouped by age and grade level. These camps are great for kids of any skill level, from beginner to advanced. Every day kids will also focus on an important character trait. Campers will learn about that trait with sports related activities. Valley Sports Camp wants to create great athletes and build character! The main goal is to build self-esteem and to make the kids feel successful at the end of each day.

4. Los Gatos Youth Theatre

Take the stage with Los Gatos Youth Theatre! This summer camps will get to participate in productions such as  Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Jr., Once on this Island Jr., and Peter Pan Jr.. General summer workshops are also offered for kids that would like to try out theater or would like to learn more. Camps are currently still scheduled as in person programs. All camps are subject to change based on recommendations by the CDC. Please check the website for updates.

5. Los Gatos Elite

Flip into fun with Los Gatos Elite! Los Gatos Elite is a great way for children of all ages and skill levels to have fun with gymnastics. Programs include the fundamentals, ninja, aerial arts, competitive athletics, and more. If you aren’t sure which program would be best for your child you can schedule an assessment of your child’s skills so staff can make sure your child is in a program in which they will succeed. Open gyms are also available for a less structured option. Trial classes are also offered if you are interested in testing out a program before committing to anything.
