WHAT YOUNG BUILDERS GROW HERE

Skills That Reach Far
Beyond One Project

The model a child builds may eventually come apart. The confidence, resilience, creativity, relationships, and problem-solving habits developed through the experience can continue growing.

Confidence

Children make choices, share ideas, and experience the satisfaction of turning an idea into something visible, functional, or meaningful.

Resilience

Not every design works the first time. Young builders practice adjusting, trying again, and seeing setbacks as a normal part of creating something new.

Creativity and Problem-Solving

Open-ended challenges encourage children to imagine possibilities, test ideas, compare solutions, and discover that there can be more than one way forward.

Connection and Friendship

Children build alongside others, communicate ideas, share materials, take on team roles, and have opportunities for friendships and social confidence to grow.

GROWTH HAPPENS OVER TIME

Confidence Is Built
One Challenge at a Time

Confidence is not built through one project. Resilience does not appear after one setback. Social skills grow through repeated opportunities to communicate, collaborate, solve problems, take responsibility, and try again.

A Positive RoutineChildren return each week to a familiar place where they can take on something new.
Growing ResponsibilityYoung builders care for shared materials, contribute to the group, and take ownership of the building process.
A Builder IdentityChildren begin to see themselves as people who can create, solve problems, and make ideas happen.

HOW WE HELP KIDS GROW

Building Is the Tool.
Growth Is the Goal.

Snapology uses hands-on building, engineering challenges, creative design, robotics, coding, purposeful play, and collaborative problem-solving to help children practice skills that reach beyond one project.

Engineering, Creative Design, Robotics, and Coding

During each six-week learning cycle, children participate in age-appropriate challenges using LEGO® Bricks, LEGO® Technic elements, and robotics kits. Some experiences may focus more heavily on creative building or engineering, while others include robotics and introductory coding.

1

Imagine and Build

Children explore structures, movement, balance, stability, force, simple machines, mechanisms, and creative design using LEGO® Bricks—including LEGO® Technic elements—and other age-appropriate materials.

2

Collaborate and Test

Young builders explain ideas, compare approaches, share responsibilities, build models, test how designs function, and explore how parts work together.

3

Revise and Grow

Children identify what worked, consider what could improve, make changes, and experience the confidence that develops through persistence.

Families will receive updates during each learning cycle about the concepts, challenges, and skills children are exploring. Future learning cycles will introduce new challenges and may incorporate additional curriculum as it becomes available.

A STRONGER FOUNDATION FOR YOUNGER BUILDERS

More Than One Challenge.
More Ways to Grow.

For our younger builders, we intentionally chose a broader weekly class experience instead of centering the year  around one specific FIRST LEGO® League challenge.

Kindergarten and 1st Grade students begin exploring age-appropriate engineering, robotics, and coding concepts through hands-on building and problem-solving. As children progress through grades 2–6, they continue developing those skills through increasingly complex engineering, creative design, mechanisms, robotics, coding, testing, troubleshooting, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Broader Skill Building

Children explore engineering,  creative design, robotics, coding, structures, mechanisms, testing, and  problem-solving rather than being limited to one program challenge.

Challenges That Grow With Them
Instructors can adjust support, complexity, materials, and challenges based on each group’s readiness and interests.

Confidence Through the Process
Young builders learn to test ideas, troubleshoot, improve designs, work with others, and keep going when  something does not work the first time.

A Path Toward FIRST LEGO® League
Robotics, engineering, coding, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills developed here create a strong foundation for the  more advanced FIRST LEGO®  League experience in grades 5–8.

The goal is not simply to complete a project.

It is to help children become builders who can create, test, revise, collaborate, solve problems, and develop confidence in what they are capable of doing next.

MORE ADVANCED BUILDER EXPERIENCE • GRADES 5–8

Ready for a More Advanced Builder Challenge?

FIRST LEGO® League gives students a more advanced, team-based experience using robotics, coding, engineering design, strategy, and problem-solving. Young builders develop confidence, responsibility, resilience, communication,  and collaboration as they design, test, revise, and contribute to a team.

Snapology’s program uses the FIRST LEGO® League curriculum and team process in an in-house, non-travel format. Students may participate in friendly internal challenges and conclude the experience with a family showcase, but teams will not compete against outside organizations.

A deeper weekly experience for older buildersStudents work in small teams during a three-hour weekly Tuesday session, taking on increasingly complex robotics, coding, design, and problem-solving challenges.

Have a younger builder interested in robotics?Children do not need to wait until grades 5–8 to begin building engineering, robotics, coding, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Beginning in Kindergarten, young builders are introduced to these concepts through age-appropriate hands-on experiences. Challenges grow in complexity as children progress through the grade levels, creating a strong foundation for the more advanced FIRST LEGO® League experience.

WEEKLY CLASS QUESTIONS

What Families Should Know

What is the main goal of weekly classes?
Weekly classes give children repeated opportunities to build confidence, creativity, resilience, responsibility, social skills, and problem-solving habits. Hands-on building, engineering, robotics, coding, and collaborative challenges are the tools used to support that growth.
Are the Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday classes different?
No. Each age group follows the same learning pathway across all three day choices. Families select one recurring weekly class time that works for their schedule.
What will children do during class?
Children participate in age-appropriate building challenges that may include creative design, structures, simple machines, mechanisms, robotics, and introductory coding. They imagine, build, communicate, test, evaluate, and revise their ideas.
Will children use robotics during every class?
The overall learning cycle includes robotics and coding, but individual classes may focus more heavily on engineering, creative design, physical building, or robotics. Each experience supports the larger process of creating, testing, collaborating, and improving.
Why isn’t FIRST LEGO® League offered for younger students this year?

After working with the FIRST LEGO® League Explore curriculum last year, we decided our younger builders would benefit from a broader, more flexible learning experience. Our weekly classes for Kindergarten through 6th Grade continue to include age-appropriate engineering, robotics, and coding experiences. Kindergarten and 1st Grade students begin with foundational concepts, while older students take on increasingly complex building, engineering, robotics, coding, testing, and problem-solving challenges based on each group’s readiness.

Instead of working toward one specific program challenge, students can spend more time developing strong foundations—learning how things work, testing ideas, troubleshooting, improving designs, collaborating, and building the confidence and resilience to keep trying.

For families interested in FIRST LEGO® League, we see these classes as excellent preparation. Children build many of the same robotics, engineering, coding, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while developing a broader foundation they can carry into the more advanced FIRST LEGO® League experience offered for grades 5–8.

Will my child make friends?
Weekly classes provide repeated opportunities for children to build alongside others, share ideas, communicate, collaborate, and develop social confidence. While individual experiences vary, the consistent group setting creates natural opportunities for connections and friendships to grow.
What materials will children use?
Children will use LEGO® Bricks, LEGO® Technic elements, age-appropriate robotics kits, and other hands-on materials selected for the class challenges. Materials may vary by age group and learning focus.
Can my child participate in Creative Play before or after class?
Creative Play may be scheduled before or after class during the listed Creative Play hours, subject to availability, reservation policies, and participation requirements. Premium Membership includes five 90-minute Creative Play visits each month, while Basic Members receive 10% off Creative Play visits.
What happens if my child misses a class?
Refunds and credits are not provided for classes missed because of a participant’s absence. When space allows, Snapology may be able to offer a make-up in another appropriate class, but make-up opportunities are not guaranteed and depend on class availability. This policy is separate from announced Snapology closures for which a specific make-up arrangement may be provided.
Can my child enroll without a membership?
Yes. Standalone enrollment is available as a six-week class session for $210. Basic Membership begins at $99 per month and includes one weekly instructor-led class plus additional member benefits.
Is Fall 2026 registration open?
Yes. Fall 2026 registration is open now for standalone six-week class sessions and memberships. Class placement is subject to current availability and class-size limits. Families who would like to try the Premium Membership experience first may also explore the free Two-Week Premium Membership Trial while trial spaces remain available.
Will future learning cycles be different?
Yes. Future learning cycles will introduce new challenges and may incorporate additional curriculum as it becomes available. Families will receive updates during the program about the concepts, skills, and challenges children are exploring.
Do children take their builds home?
Unless a specific activity explicitly states otherwise, builds are used during class and are not take-home projects.
