Best Summer Camps in Sugar Land/Katy, TX

Going to summer camp can be an incredible experience for your child whether that is a day camp or a full residential camp. They’ll have the chance to experience something new, make new friends, and be somewhat independent for the very first time.

Sending your child off to a camp can be a nerve-racking prospect, so how do you decide on the best one? We’ve rounded up five of our favorites in the Sugarland and Katy, TX area to help you narrow down your search.

1. Snapology

Snapology offers STEM and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) educational camps that help your child learn through play, using Lego, K’nex, iPads and other technology. Snapology teaches your child how to plan and build robotics, theme parks, video game coding, and much, much more! An added bonus is that your child will make a bunch of new friends, too! If your child loves technology, this is the camp for them. They won’t even realize they’re learning!

2. Safety America Summer Camps

Safety America Summer Camps created their summer camps with safety in mind. Their camps are flexible day camps, meaning you can sign up for one day or the whole summer! Kids have the opportunity to take part in a range of fun adventurous activities, from rock climbing, zip-lining, a ninja-warrior course, trampolining, gymnastics and a lot more.

3. AKA Sports Camp

AKA Sports Camp has been serving the Katy area since 1993 and is a traditional-style day camp that provides kids with field trips and a range of activities, including dodge ball games, arts and crafts, baseball, football, rock climbing, roller skating and more! They are open from 6am through to 7pm each week, perfect if you’re looking for a camp that will fit around your work schedule.

4. The Honor Roll School

The Honor Roll School Summer Camp takes campers from ages 5-14 and helps them expand their horizons, embark on new adventures, and importantly, have fun. The camp focuses on creating lifelong friendships for campers through activities like sports and games, arts and crafts, nature and cooking, songs and skits, swimming and field trips.

5. Momentum Climbing

Momentum Climbing’s summer camp offers campers a safe environment where kids can be kids. The camp encourages self-discovery and responsibility through a variety of activities both on and off the climbing wall. They’ll have fun, gain confidence in themselves, and make new friends. Camp runs from the end of May through to early August, so you have plenty of opportunities to book your child in and if you have multiple children you’ll receive $20 off each extra registration.
