Snapology of Burlington, NC is excited to offer hands-on afterschool STEAM programs at The Hawbridge School in Graham, NC. Students build, explore, and collaborate through LEGO® projects, robotics, engineering, and creative challenges.

Program Overview & Pickup

Location: Common Area inside The Hawbridge School

Days: Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays; register separately for each session and day

Time: 3:30–5:00 PM · 90 minutes per class | Hawbridge staff will keep your children with them from school dismissal until our program starts.

Session length: Six or seven weekly classes, as listed below

Pickup: Parents must enter through the front door and come inside to sign their child out.

Pickup deadline: 5:15 PM. A late fee of $1 per minute, per child applies after 5:15 PM.

SPROUT Transitions *** If your child goes is enrolled in Sprout Afterschool Care – we can transition them to Sprout and you can pick your child up later. Simply add that note into your child’s notes section during sign up and your family profile creation.

Authorized Pick Up Persons – All Authorized Persons should be listed on your family profile prior to the first program date so we can release your child to them.

Registration is completed separately for each session and day. Each session requires minimum enrollment to operate.

Afterschool FAQs

How are the afterschool programs scheduled?

Programs meet once per week for 90 minutes. Each session includes six or seven weekly classes. Exact dates are listed in the program table above.

Do I register for the full school year?

No. Families register separately for each session. Your child may attend one session or register for several different programs throughout the school year.

Who leads the program?

All programs are led by trained Snapology instructors who specialize in working with children and making STEAM learning fun, engaging, and age appropriate.

Does my child need previous LEGO® or robotics experience?

No previous experience is required unless a specific program description says otherwise. Activities may be adjusted based on the ages and experience levels of the participating students.

What is the cancellation or transfer policy?

Full payment is due at registration to secure enrollment.
Transfer: Contact Snapology to ask about transferring your child to another available session.
Refund: Cancellations made more than four weeks before the session start date receive a full refund less a $10 processing fee. Cancellations made two to four weeks before the session start date receive a 50% refund. No refund is provided within two weeks of the session start date.
Medical issues: A full refund less a $10 processing fee may be provided when a written excuse from the child’s physician is submitted.
Cancellation by Snapology: If a session is canceled because of low enrollment or another reason, registered families will be refunded accordingly.

What should my child bring?

A labeled, resealable water bottle
Any school-required afterschool items
No personal toys or electronics unless specifically requested for the program

Is there a minimum enrollment requirement?

Yes. Each session requires a minimum number of registered students. Families will be contacted if a session must be canceled or adjusted because minimum enrollment has not been reached.

How does pickup work?

Parents must enter through the front door and come inside to sign their child out. Classes finish at 5:00 PM. Pickup must be completed by 5:15 PM; a $1 per minute, per child late fee applies after that time.

What if my child has special needs?

Please contact us to discuss your child’s needs. If your child has an aide at school, that aide must also attend at your own cost.
