Awesome Summer Camps in Indianapolis!

Although it’s hard to believe now, warm weather will be here before you know it. With summertime on the distant horizon, now is the time to think warm thoughts and to look into summer vacation possibilities. If you’re looking for the right summer camp for your kiddos, we've got you covered. We’ve put together a list of our favorite summer camps in the greater Indianapolis area to help you on your search. 1. Snapology

Do you have a LEGO® lover on your hands this summer? If so, Snapology has a summer camp just for you! Snapology offers a wide variety of fun summer camps in the Indianapolis area for children ages 5-14. Students use familiar toys and tools like LEGO® bricks, K’Nex, laptops and tablets while Snapology sneaks in STEM/STEAM concepts. Shh…don’t tell them it’s educational! 

From fun LEGO® themed programs to robotics to engineering to animation, there’s something for everyone this summer at Snapology. The best part is that Snapology makes learning so fun, your child will be excited to come back for more! Snapology also offers winter and spring break workshops for year-round fun. 2. Jameson Camp

Since 1928, campers at Jameson Camp have been immersing themselves in a truly outdoor camp experience. With Jameson’s 130 acres of woods and meadows, there are countless adventures and activities for everyone. Whether your child will be staying for day camps or overnight camps, they’ll have access to all of the camp’s features and amenities. Children ages 5 to 17 are welcome. Camp Jameson also celebrates diversity and inclusivity, specializing in serving children with minor social, emotional and behavioral challenges. Jameson Camp will surely bring the best out of your camper this summer!

3. Poplar Ridge Stables in Carmel, IN

Horse lovers will have a blast this summer at Poplar Ridge Stables in Carmel, Indiana. Poplar Ridge specializes in providing safe and fun opportunities for young equestrian enthusiasts to learn about and experience the wonderful world of horses! Children ages 6 to 11 are welcome at their week-long summer day camps available throughout the spring and summer. Your horse lover will learn the fundamentals of riding (according to the camper’s skill and comfort level), horse care, barn and grounds maintenance, and horse related activities and games. Students will also have the opportunity to swim in the outdoor heated pool, have a cookout, and show their parents everything they’ve learned at a “horse show” on the last day of camp. Mini one-day camps are also offered throughout the year.

4. Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation

Get ready for a summer of fun at Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation! There are so many camps available for residents and non-residents, your child is sure to find their next favorite hobby or activity this summer. This year, weekly camps will run from June 1 to July 31, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Half day camps are also available for those with more flexibility. Locations for camps include the Monon Community Center, The Waterpark, West Park, and more! Students can choose between super fun themes such as Success on Stage, Science of Summer, Adventures in Art, and so many more! Sign up now to snag your spot.

5. YMCA of Greater Indianapolis

Nothing says summer camp like the YMCA! The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is the place to head if you’re looking for summer day camps or overnight camps throughout the greater Indianapolis area. Your child will have a blast swimming, playing, running and exploring with the Y. There are so many camps available this summer for children of all ages. Enrichment camps focus on specialties like Cooking, Performance, STEM, even Pokémon! Preschooler camps provide younger students with opportunities to make new friends while growing intellectually, socially and emotionally. Sports camps include Cheer, Lacrosse, Tumbling, Basketball and more! Of course, the Y also offers Traditional Camp with activities such as swimming, archery, group games, team building, science, crafts, scavenger hunts, and much more!
