In this Snapology program, we will give your student fun challenges to help bring their favorite animated movie characters to LEGO\u00ae life and flex their creative STEAM skills! Students will learn:\r\n\r\nCreativity &amp; Critical Thinking: In this program, creativity is at the front and center of everything we do. Each activity encourages students to embrace their imagination and create familiar items with a unique, personalized twist. By using visual aids, holding creative classroom brainstorming sessions, and giving basic building parameters, students will be supported as they take creative risks and are guided when they aren\u2019t sure what to build next.\r\n\r\nPresentation Skills: Many school-age students struggle when it comes to their presentation skills in the classroom. Snapology will help your child feel more comfortable presenting in front of a class by having the child explain their unique creations to their peers in an inviting, low-stakes way. Presenting their creations will help their confidence in front of a group of people and will translate into their everyday self-assurance in the classroom.\r\n\r\nBuilding a Stable Structure: Building a sturdy, reliable structure is a fundamental aspect of engineering. In this program, students will play around with different methods for creating a brick model that is both strong and functional. As they are given new building projects to complete, they will be positively encouraged to trust their engineering instincts and learn how to make adjustments if something doesn't work.\r\n\r\n\ud835\ude3c\ud835\ude41\ud835\ude4f\ud835\ude40\ud835\ude4d\ud835\ude49\ud835\ude4a\ud835\ude4a\ud835\ude49: Who doesn\u2019t love an action-packed animation movie that brings our favorite toys to life? In Snapology\u2019s Animation Studio program, students get to do more than just enjoy those movies, they get to create them! In this technical program, children will work in teams to learn the fundamentals of stop motion animation and develop their own animated movie starring some of their favorite LEGO\u00ae mini-figures! Students will go through the entire movie making process with their filming partner, from plot development and set design to detailed visual and audio editing. The best part, their movie will move beyond the classroom and be uploaded to Snapology\u2019s YouTube channel so they can share their film with friends and family for years to come! What studens will learn:\r\n\r\n\u2022 Technology Skills: Snapology\u2019s Animation Studio program provides a structured, supportive environment for students to utilize unique stop animation software through which they can practice general technology skills. They will learn how to create, delete, modify, edit, design, add sound to, and upload their creations and practice with precision when doing so. In doing this, they will practice maneuvering through menu options and finding appropriate destinations for their creative needs.\r\n\u2022 Fundamentals of Storytelling: There are five fundamental elements to storytelling - characters, setting, plot, conflict, and resolution \u2013 and your students will learn and master them all when creating their own story! Our program focuses on the importance of movie planning, basic storyboarding, and execution of these plans, which will encourage better storytelling in and out of the classroom!\r\n\r\n\ud835\ude3c\ud835\ude3f\ud835\ude3f\ud835\ude44\ud835\ude4f\ud835\ude44\ud835\ude4a\ud835\ude49\ud835\ude3c\ud835\ude47 \ud835\ude3f\ud835\ude40\ud835\ude4f\ud835\ude3c\ud835\ude44\ud835\ude47\ud835\ude4e: Drop off begins each day at 8:30am. For maximum efficiency, we ask you to be punctual at arrival and dismissal times. Campers are required to bring in their own lunch, 1 snack, and a drink every day. Please pack lunches in paper bags or lunch coolers and put the child\u2019s name on each bag. Snapology Day Camp is a \u201cnut sensitive\u201d environment.
